While not the easiest project, we encourage beginners to take this class first because it covers many essential joints and tools. Students start by examining several 18th-century tables and discussing construction, tool marks and terminology. The instructors will demonstrate hand tool use and sharpening and guide students through the mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joinery required for the project. The table top is 18"x20".
